The German Arbitration Institute (DIS) e.V. awards a bi-annual
Prize
valued at € 10.000
for an outstanding academic paper (doctoral thesis, habilitation) in the field of Arbitration or Alternative Dispute Resolution.
The award is open to young academics who, on the day of submission of their paper to the DIS, are under 35 years of age. The papers must deal with questions of substantive or procedural law in the field of Arbitration or other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. To be eligible for submission, the academic evaluation of such papers must not have been concluded before the time limit for submission in the previous round of application (30 June 2019).
Applicants are invited to submit their papers in five copies, including the academic opinions, at the latest by
30 June 2021
at the DIS Berlin office. There will be no return of copies by the DIS.
Three winners will be selected, and the prize will be divided between the first, second and third place.
The decision is made by a jury and is taken without possibility of recourse to legal action.
