Claus Koehler is founding partner of Meister Rechtsanwälte. Before, he was partner in international law firms in Munich for 15 years. He established and managed as the partner-in-charge offices in London and Warsaw. Before his four-year work with a multi-national American enterprise, Claus Koehler practiced as a lawyer in Munich for two years.

Here, he has a focus on cross-border issues mainly with respect to the USA, Poland and the United Kingdom. During his work for a multi-national American enterprise he also built up special expertise in trademark and competition law.

• He studied at the Universities of Munich (Dr. jur. 1990), Geneva and Georgetown (LL.M. 1989). He is Professor at the Kozminski University in Warsaw (2001). Claus Koehler is admitted Attorney-at-Law in New York and at the States Supreme Court. He is qualified as Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht (Specialist in Trade and Company Law).

Claus Koehler is President of the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce in Bucharest and Vice President of the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw. Claus Köhler served as chairman, arbitrator and party representative among others in ad hoc, DIS and ICC arbitration proceedings, with a focus on M&A, joint ventures and company law.
