What is your role at the DIS?

I am a Case Administrator. My role within the Case Management Team is to support the administration of arbitral proceedings according to the DIS Arbitration Rules and to work together with the Counsel in communicating with the parties to make sure everyone is on equal grounds before the arbitrators begin proceedings.

What path led you to the DIS?

I took some law courses as part of my European Politics degree programme and have always been interested in the legal aspects of policy. I have also worked in a similar position to this one in a small law firm when I was a student, so the DIS felt like a good place to start my career, where I could build on previous experience but also expand my knowledge.

What do you particularly appreciate about your work?

I particularly appreciate the supportive and friendly team who have made me feel welcome since my very first day.

What motivates you?

I am motivated by my ability to aid conflict resolution here by facilitating communication between parties as well gaining experiences in an institution dealing with a wide variety of cases within the field of arbitration.

How would you describe the DIS in three key words?

Expertise. Diligence. Confidentiality.

Tell us a fun fact we should know about you?

I have only been to Bonn once before moving here to work for the DIS.
