At the 12th Seoul ADR Festival (SAF) from 30 October to 3 November 2023, the DIS was represented by Deputy Secretary General and Head of Case Management Chun-Kyung Paulus Suh.
This is the first time since the pandemic that the DIS has returned to the Seoul ADR Festival. Paulus spoke at the CMS Seminar on Tuesday morning on a panel moderated by Lynette Chew (CMS) and Benjamin Lissner (CMS) on "Emergency Arbitration - No Longer a Novelty, but is it Effective?". While explaining the DIS position on Emergency Arbitration, he did not miss the opportunity to present the lode star of the DIS Arbitration Rules: early termination by amicable settlement.
The DIS intends to pick up in Seoul where it left off with the pandemic: to offer the Korean market efficient arbitration in an institution with a civil law background.
