DIS Distribution & Supply Chains Group

The DIS Distribution & Supply Chains Group was established in 2026. It serves as a platform for all members interested in exchanging views on distribution and supply chain law issues in the context of arbitration.

The new Industry Group provides an opportunity for arbitration practitioners to connect, network, and engage in discussions on topics of practical relevance, including:

  • arbitration proceedings involving manufacturers and distribution intermediaries (e.g. commercial agents, authorized dealers/distributors, and brokers);
  • disputes arising throughout the supply chain, including those relating to force majeure, embargos, or disruptions in performance (such as non-delivery, delayed delivery, or delivery of non-conforming goods);
  • issues stemming from the inherently international nature of distribution and supply chain disputes, including the application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), the determination and proof of foreign law, and questions of private international law (conflict of laws).

The Industry Group is intended to serve as a forum for the practical exchange of experience among its members and for the discussion of current challenges in the field.
