The DIS organized a panel discussion about disputes in the supply chain and the role of third-party notices during the Annual Conference of the IBA in Toronto. The event took place on 4 November 2025, at the offices of Fasken.

Rouven Bodenheimer (DIS) started the event with a presentation of the DIS, followed by Johanna Wirth (DIS) who introduced the DIS Third-Party Notice Rules.

Then, Sarah McEachern (BLG), Douglas Harrison (Arbitration Place), Luis Sarabia (Davies), and Donata Freiin von Enzberg (DIS) discussed the role and relevance of third-party notices in supply chain disputes from different perspectives. Tilman Niedermaier (DIS) moderated the panel discussion. 

The lively discussion highlighted differences and similarities in legal concepts such as joinder and third-party notices, proving the benefits of exchanging global experiences.
