Lunch Trainings

Newsletter 09/2022 - Insights: Behind the Scenes of the DIS

Contact

The Board of Directors has revived the former tradition of lunch trainings for staff. About once a month, members of the Board meet with the staff on site in one of the offices for a light lunch and exchange views on a topic outside the daily business. With the lunch trainings we aim to set content-related topics, be it in the sense of training session or an insight into what the board members do outside the work at the DIS. On the other hand, we also want to strengthen the personal exchange on site in the offices.

To kick things off, Reinmar Wolff gave insights into working with databases using the example of the empirical study on the arbitration friendliness of German courts on 18 August 2022 in the Bonn office. We did not only discuss the questions of the suitability of the place of arbitration, but the functional principles and considerations regarding databases and their evaluation. The lunch training took place in a good atmosphere and has attracted lively interest.
