The African-German Congress 2025 will bring together experts from Africa and Germany to discuss the role of local arbitration in business projects across the continent. The program opens with remarks from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the German Federal Government and the German-African Business Association. Panels will address partnership and risk in African-German business, practical dispute resolution experiences in Egypt, Kenya and Rwanda, and the effectiveness of local arbitration in practice.
Spotlight presentations will introduce institutions such as the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), the Kigali International Arbitration Centre (KIAC), the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) and other partners of the African-German Arbitration Cooperation (AfGAC). The congress will conclude with reflections on dispute culture in Africa and a networking reception.
