• Born in Merzifon on 03.08.1963, I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1986 after completing my primary and secondary education in Çankırı and high school education in Ankara Anıttepe High School. I completed my master's in Private Law at Ankara University Graduate School of Social Sciences between 1987-1989. I started my academic career at Faculty of Law, Ankara University in 1988. I went to Munich for my PhD. I returned to Turkey, after I got PhD degree from Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. Till then I have been continuing my academic career at Ankara University Faculty of Law. In addition to that I am practicing law at my own Legal Office both as an attorney of law, arbitrator, and mediator.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN ARBITRATION I attended the training held by TOBB UYUM when they chose me as a pioneer arbitrator for domain name disputes. EXPERIENCE IN ARBITRATION I was selected as an arbitrator or presiding arbitrator of Arbitral Tribunal in lots of cases. In addition to that I am also registered in the Vienna Arbitration Center, is a "trusted lawyer" of the Austrian Trade Center in Ankara where I was awarded the "Science and Art Order" by the Austrian State on 11 December 2015. Likewise, I am at list of TOBB-ICC as an arbitrator. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN MEDIATION I was awarded a certificate by attending the "International Mediation" course organized by the "Association for International Arbitration" in Brussels in August 2013. I completed the expertise training on commercial law and intellectual property law for mediators. EXPERIENCE IN MEDIATION I have both experiences on labor law, commercial law, and domain name disputes as a mediator.

Member of the Association of Higher Education in Germany (AYÖG) where I served as the President between 2007 and 2011.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE BEFORE PRESENT POSITION I worked as a Research Assistant at the Chair of Roman Law of Ankara University’ Faculty of Law, where I was appointed as a Lecturer on 20.04.1998, and as an Assistant Professor on 20.12.1999, and as an Associate Professor on 12.03.2002. I was appointed as an Associate Professor at the Chair of Comparative Law, where I served as a Full Professor and the Head between 2005-2019. Since 2019 onwards I am the Head of the Chair of Intellectual Property Law. EXPERIENCE IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I have been head of the Ankara University Research Center on Intellectual and Industrial Rights since 2000. I have been giving undergraduate and graduate courses on IP law in general, industrial property law, trademark law, geographical indications since then. In addition to that I am practicing law at my own Legal Office both as an attorney of law, arbitrator. EXPERIENCE WITH RESPECT TO DOMAIN NAMES I was chosen as a member of board of arbitrators who are the pioneers for establishing arbitration system for domain name disputes. After passing the exam, I became one of the first arbitrators who is eligible to solve the domain name disputes before Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB)
