DIS40 Zürich: Who Pays the Price? A Debate on Costs in International Arbitration

DIS40-Event

Cost awards are a central tool for tribunals to balance their decisions and deal out sanctions. Drawing on their practical experience as counsel and arbitrator, our panelists Dilber Devitre, Lukas Fellmann, Sabrine Schnyder and Julia Simon will debate case scenarios relating to key cost issues, such as the application of the ‘costs follow the event’ principle, the recoverability of in-house, AI/technology and third-party funding costs, the determination of costs’ reasonableness, and cost allocation based on parties’ behavior. The discussion will be moderated by Tim Isler.

The event is open to everyone with an interest in arbitration. We look forward to an insightful discussion!

After the event hosted by Advestra, there will be an optional dinner at a nearby restaurant (at your own expense).
