Get to know: Lida Fagiri

Back in Germany, I worked as a Research Assistant at HSF Kramer in Düsseldorf after completing my second state examination, which further strengthened my interest in international arbitration. After moving to Berlin, joining the DIS felt like a natural next step, as it is the main institution for the administration of arbitration proceedings in Germany.

What do you particularly appreciate about your work?

What I particularly appreciate about my work is - besides the international working environment and the opportunity to engage with the arbitration community through the many events organised by the DIS - the team itself. People of all ages and backgrounds work together at DIS, and everyone is valued for their contributions. This open and supportive culture is something I greatly appreciate.

What motivates you?

What motivates me most is the dynamic nature of the work. With a large number of proceedings and new developments arising every day, no two days are ever the same. I also enjoy being able to provide parties and tribunals with practical and timely support. Knowing that a responsive and service-oriented approach can contribute to the efficient administration of proceedings is particularly rewarding to me.

A fun fact about me is that I have a slight obsession with office supplies. New sticky notes, highlighters or planners can genuinely make my day.
