By supporting the ‘Campaign for Greener Arbitrations and the Green Pledge’, DIS has committed itself to taking greater account of the environmental impact of its activities and continuously improving the sustainability of its operations. We remain committed to this path – including in the day-to-day aspects of our work.
Our support of this goal has remained unwavering as we continue to honour the pledge. In addition to using renewable electricity in our offices, offering virtual event formats, providing discounted Deutsche Bahn event tickets and further digitalising our case administration, we are also examining smaller aspects of our day-to-day operations that we can change.
Additionally, for some time now, DIS has been using DHL GoGreen Plus for its shipping. The service aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation through the use of sustainable fuels. For air transportation, this includes the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The recently issued DHL GoGreen Plus Certificate for 2025 provides tangible figures illustrating the impact of our steps: For the period from 1 January to 31 December 2025, DHL reports that DIS reduced its well-to-wheel emissions from air transportation by 266.39 kg CO₂e, or 42.19%, compared with the reference value. The share of Sustainable Aviation Fuel was 47.20%. The figures underlying the certificate were verified by a third-party auditor as part of the GoGreen Plus service.
For us, this is another step along the path we embarked on with the Green Pledge. We view sustainable practices as an ongoing process and will continue to explore where we can further reduce the environmental impact of our activities.
