The life science industry is truly global just like arbitration. Is resolving disputes in this field by arbitration therefore a good cure? During our seminar we will explore the practical dispute needs of the life science industry from different perspectives. Do the different players, from big pharma to biotechnological start-ups, have the same needs and resort to the same methods? What are the typical disputes in an innovation-driven and highly regulated industry where investment costs are substantial, cooperation across borders common, supply chains and protection of intellectual property rights critical as well as blockbuster opportunities globally scaled? What are experiences with arbitrating life science disputes and what innovations are desired?
