The DIS, represented by Ramona Schardt, provided insights into what modern arbitration can look like - and what is needed to ensure that it continues to earn trust in the future at the congress of Legal Departments and Corporate Counsel (diruj) in Frankfurt on 3 June 2025.

Global supply chains, geopolitical tensions and technological change are presenting companies with new challenges - including those related to dispute resolution. Now more than ever, arbitration proceedings must be reliable, efficient and strategically controllable.

The DIS is responding to this change with a clear claim:

  • Efficiency - for swift, economically sensible proceedings
  • User orientation - with a focus on what companies really need
  • Innovation - use of digitalisation, modern rules (e.g. for dispute resolution) and new approaches.

Exchanges like this with the business world are indispensable - we look forward to continuing this dialogue.
