The number of our bilateral arbitration groups (Ländergruppen) is growing! Firstly, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Bilateral Serbian-German Arbitration Group, formalized through a cooperation agreement between the Belgrade Arbitration Center (BAC), the Serbian Arbitration Association (SAA), and DIS. This new partnership aims to bridge the gap between the Serbian and German arbitration communities, creating a platform for greater collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The signing ceremony took place during the XV Belgrade Arbitration Conference, which was directly followed by the Belgrade Open Pre-Moot.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Vladimir Pavić (Belgrade Arbitration Center) and Reinmar Wolff (DIS). As Reinmar Wolff emphasized, the focus is on connecting practitioners, not just associations, to build stronger ties between the two arbitration communities.

The co-chairs of the new Serbian-German arbitration group, Evgenia Peiffer and Blagoje Milosevic, also shared insights into the group’s mission, highlighting the use of English as its working language, regular exchanges, and a comparative approach to the field of arbitration. This is a significant step forward in fostering a collaborative, cross-border approach to arbitration, and we look forward to the exciting developments ahead!

Cooperation with Luxembourg

We are also pleased to announce the formation of another bilateral arbitration group. The DIS/LAA/LAC Arbitration Group has been established, comprising representatives from the Luxembourg Arbitration Association (LAA) and the Luxembourg Arbitration Centre (LAC). Sven Lange will coordinate the group on behalf of DIS and Axelle Zenati will do the same for Luxembourg.

All bilateral arbitration groups can be found on the DIS website.
