The DIS hosted a mediation workshop on 17-18 April at its premises in Bonn for the students, coaches, and arbitrators who participated in the 33rd Vis Moot.
Titled “Mediating the Vis Case,” the workshop was led by Katja Kröll and Natascha Tunkel, who expertly guided participants through how the parties in the Vis Moot case might have resolved their dispute by using mediation. Their engaging and hands-on approach helped bring the mediation process to life. The workshop explored the interests and economic drivers behind the dispute, suitable dispute resolution methods, as well as essential aspects of mediation preparation — from both the parties’ and mediators’ perspectives. It also covered mediation techniques and process design in a practical and interactive setting.
We also want to thank Thomas John, Gerlind Wolf and Stefan Kröll, who generously shared their expertise, adding valuable depth to the workshop discussions.
A big thank you goes to everyone involved for contributing to an inspiring and dynamic learning environment.
