Registration is now open for this year’s DIS40 Autumn Conference on Wednesday, 1 October 2026. The conference will take place in Berlin as part of the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days.
How do common law and civil law traditions continue to shape the taking of evidence in international arbitration? And how are new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, reshaping the way we approach witness evidence, document production and broader case strategy?
The DIS40 Autumn Conference 2026 will explore how arbitral practitioners navigate these different traditions and emerging developments in practice. Over the course of the day, we will discuss the procedural and strategic choices that shape evidentiary proceedings, the role of tribunals in bridging differing expectations, and what new technologies may mean for the future of international arbitration.
Bringing together practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsel and experts from across the arbitration community, the conference aims to provide a practical forum for exchanging experiences, challenging assumptions and discussing current trends in arbitration practice. Through keynote presentations, interactive discussions and smaller breakout sessions, participants will have plenty of opportunity to engage with different viewpoints and share their own.
As always, there will be ample opportunities for networking, including the traditional Early Disputes Birds Scenic Run and informal discussions throughout the day.
We look forward to welcoming the DIS40 community and friends of the DIS40 on 1 October 2026 to Berlin for a day of insightful discussions, practical perspectives and meaningful connections. We will host an Early Disputes Birds Scenic Run in collaboration with Arbitration Runners and a networking get together will take place the evening before, on 30 September 2026.
