Engaging directly with users and practitioners is a key priority of the DIS. To further strengthen this exchange and bring discussions on modern dispute resolution directly into corporate practice, the DIS has launched its new Roadshow format.

On 18 March the Roadshow officially commenced with a first workshop hosted at TenneT TSO in Hanover.

During the four-hour workshop, in-house counsel and contract managers engaged with representatives of the DIS and external experts on a range of dispute resolution mechanisms. The discussions focused on mediation, expert determination, dispute review boards (DRBs) and adjudication, as well as arbitration and commercial courts.

In addition to practice-oriented presentations, the workshop provided the opportunity for an in-depth exchange on experiences and challenges from a corporate perspective. The lively discussions once again highlighted the growing importance of efficient and flexible dispute resolution mechanisms for businesses.

The DIS would like to thank TenneT’s General Counsel Carlo Ottaviano, Hannah Tümpel, Academic Director at the European University Viadrina, as well as DIS Board members Johanna Wirth, Torsten Lörcher and Florian Cahn for their contributions and for helping make the launch of the Roadshow a success.

We look forward to working closely with our users in the continuation of the Roadshow, which is planned to take place in the following months.
