The General Assembly has elected a new board

On 10 December 2025, the General Assembly elected a new board, with around 300 members casting their votes. In DIS's largest online general assembly to date, members selected 13 board members out of a total of 29 candidates. 

The following individuals received the largest number of votes and accepted their election to the new board (in alphabetical order):

  • Torsten Lörcher, CMS, Cologne
  • Thomas Pfeiffer, Heidelberg University
  • David Quinke, Gleiss Lutz, Düsseldorf
  • Judith Sawang, Ashurst, Frankfurt am Main
  • Jan K. Schäfer, King & Spalding, Frankfurt am Main
  • Nils Schmidt-Ahrendts, Hanefeld, Hamburg
  • Johanna Wirth, Hengeler Mueller, Berlin
  • Reinmar Wolff, Philipps-Universität Marburg

In the coming weeks, the new Board of Directors will appoint the Presidium from among its members.
