We finished another successful edition of the DIS-ASA Arbitration Retreat, which took place on 24 to 26 October 2025.
The unique format of discussing the various stages of the arbitral process amongst leading arbitrators and practitioners under the guidance of experienced discussion leaders from the civil law and common law world attracted 50 participants from various countries this year.
Under Chatham House Rules, participants exchanged insider views on matters ranging from how to organize the first case management conference to dealing with post-hearing briefs or final pleadings. The final panel was devoted to reports and predictions on how AI is already changing and will continue to change the arbitral process.
We thank our discussion leaders Nathalie Allen, Nadia Darwazeh, Anneliese Day, John Fellas, Philipp Habegger, Boris Kasolowsky, Ina C. Popova and Dorothee Ruckteschler, as well as all participants, for the lively debates and for sharing their experiences.
