Following the success of its first two editions, we are pleased to announce the third edition of the DIS Pre-Moot Bonn, scheduled to take place from the 13 to 14 March 2026. Organised jointly by the DIS and the Bonn Moot Association (BMA), this event provides participants with an excellent opportunity to hone their advocacy skills in advance of the 33rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, which will take place in Vienna from 27 March to 2 April 2026.
This year’s edition will welcome ten teams, who will present their arguments and receive valuable, practice-oriented feedback as they prepare for the Vienna competition. Beyond the pleadings, the event offers exceptional networking opportunities, enabling participants to engage with experienced arbitration practitioners and fellow students while further deepening their understanding of international arbitration. The Pre-Moot will conclude with a celebratory reception at the DIS Villa.
DIS Pre-Moot 2026
Dates: 13-14 March 2026
Venues: University of Bonn, Flick Gocke Schaumburg (Bonn-Gronau), and DIS Villa (Bonn-Bad Godesberg)
On Friday, 13 March 2026, participants will gather at the University of Bonn for the initial rounds of hearings. On Saturday, 14 March 2026, the proceedings will continue at the offices of Flick Gocke Schaumburg and then conclude with the final round and a celebratory reception at the DIS Villa in Bonn-Bad Godesberg.

Call for Arbitrators
We invite arbitration practitioners and enthusiasts to volunteer as arbitrators at the DIS Pre-Moot Bonn on 13-14 March 2026. If you have participated in arbitration proceedings as a party representative, arbitrator, or in another capacity (e.g. tribunal secretary), lecture, research, or work in the field of arbitration, or if you have experience as a moot court participant or arbitrator, your expertise will provide invaluable guidance to the participating teams.
